This website gives complete information about the organizational structure of Indian railways such as the number of Zones and links to the websites of different zones. It also provides information about the Railway Board, which is the apex board that takes all the important decisions regarding Indian Railways.
This site also provides complete information on various passenger services like E-Ticketing, PNR Status, PNR Enquiry and Train Timetable through links to various websites. Indian Railways Job Recruitment
Indian Railways recruit most of the personnel through the RRBs (Railway Recruitment Boards), established in different parts of India. Railway RRBs have been set up to recruit Group “C” Posts in technical and non technical categories as well as Para medical Posts in different Railway Zones. The major objectives of these RRBs are:

Every RRB notifies the vacancy status in ‘Employment News’, national, local and regional newspapers and also on the website of the respective Railway Recruitment Board, inviting applications from eligible candidates. These candidates will be shortlisted by the Railway Recruitment Board based on merit list in the written examination. Reservation for Scheduled Castes, Scheduled Tribes and Other Backward Classes and PH candidates is applicable.
